Original story follows:Ubisoft is giving away Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag and World in Conflict for PC this holiday season.
The games are free for all PC owners with a Ubisoft account, and will be available on a special Ubisoft giveaway site for a limited time. World in Conflict and its Soviet Assault expansion will be free on PC from December 4-11. Meanwhile, Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag will be available from December 11-18.The giveaway is part of Ubisoft's Happy Playdays, as well as a celebration of the 10th anniversary of the launch of World in Conflict and the creation of the Assassin's Creed franchise.
Set in 1715 in the Golden Age of Piracy, Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag embraces a lighter tone for the series while seamlessly allowing players to transition from stealth combat to naval warfare. Our review gave Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag an 8.5.
World in Conflict is real-time strategy game that explores an alternate history where the Berlin Wall never fell and the Cold War continued, escalating into a full-fledged invasion of the United States. Looking for a gift this holiday? Ubisoft is giving away two PC games--and they're pretty good ones. Now through December 11, you can get the RTS World in Conflict (and its Soviet Assault expansion) for the low, low price of $0.00.
The game was developed by Ubisoft Massive (The Division), and it originally came out in 2007. It's set in an alternate timeline when the Soviet Union takes over the US in the '80s.
Then starting on December 12, you can pick up Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag for nothing. This freebie offer ends on December 28. The well-regarded, Caribbean-set Black Flag was released in 2013 and puts you into the stealthy boots of Edward Kenway.
